短跑运动的成绩决定于运动员的加速能力,运动员的最大速度及保持最大速度的能力。这些因素通常受到物质代谢和与之相关的人体测量学内容的影响。例如肌纤维的类型已被认为是影响短跑运动成绩的因素之一,与之相当的还有酶的适应和组织的肥大等。
Performance in sprint exercise is determined by the ability to accelerate, the magnitude of maximal velocity and the ability to maintain velocity against the onset of fatigue. These factors are strongly influenced by metabolic and anthropometric components. For example, muscle fiber type has been purported to be one of the factors underlying sprint performance, with enzymatic adaptations and hypertrophy of prime movers.
