The paper first uses the multi-origin theory of humanity to deconstruct the story of Babel as told in the Bible which deconstructionists have never in a moment doubted; then from the viewpoint of information science expounds that language signs which are merely carriers of message are mainly used for communication in which human senders and receivers are decisive factors; after that points out that source language texts (SLT) are historical products and the deciphering of any symbols in them depends on the synchronization of the whole text in the framework of a particular historical period. In conclusion, it reminds us of the impracticability of the deconstructionist advocate that the same SLT should be retranslated again and again and at the same time exposes the absurdity of the allegation that survival of a text depends on its being repeatedly translated.
