Problems about mathematic model and model simulation of the three phase solid state fault current limiter(FCL) are discussed in this paper. The simulations were carried out by MATLAB and PSIM software tools. The control strategy of the FCL is presented. A 380 V/200 A test prototype of FCL was realized and tested to verify the simulation result.
