摘要
本文第一大部分分别论述陈述句、祈使句、疑问句和感叹句在英语广告中的具体应用与特有功能;第二大部分简单探讨英语广告中最常用的四种结构(省略结构、句子片断、比较结构和排比结构)的形式特点和表达功能。各类句式,各有特色,各具功能,都为广告的成功做贡献。
The first part of this paper discusses the practical uses and unique functions of the four sentence types in English advertising, i.e. statements, commands, questions, and exclamations; the second part explores the formal characteristics and specific functions of the four most common sentence structures in English ads: elliptical, comparative, and parallel structures, and sentence fragments. The paper attempts to demonstrate that the different sentence types and sentence structures with their particular features and functions all contribute to the success of English advertising.
