As the number increasing rapidly, the distribution of the Overseas Chinese has changed gradually since the late half of the 20th century. The change is characterized by a move from concentration to dispersing, i.e, a move from Asia to other areas, especially to America, Europe, Australia. The percent of the Asia's Overseas Chinese has declined from 96% to 80%. The author argues that there are two reasons for this change. First, the new migrants from China prefer other areas rather than Asia. Most new migrants do not choose Asia as their target. Second, the Asia's overseas Chinese re-migrated to other areas.
