植物的谷胱甘肽转移酶(Glutathione transferases ,GSTs;EC 2.5.1.18)是一个大家族;根据蛋白同源性和基因组织结构,植物GST分为f、?、t、?、?五类;GST主要在胞液中表达,是由约26kDa亚基组成的同源二聚体或异源二聚体,形成疏水的50kDa的蛋白;在不同组织和不同的环境条件下,基因表达差异很大。GST在植物的初级代谢和二级代谢、胁迫耐受、细胞信号等方面行使功能。
The soluble glutathione stransferases (GSTs, EC 2.5.1.18) are encoded by a large and diverse gene family in plants. The plant GSTs, on the basis of sequence identity, can be divided intoφ、ζ、τ、θ、λ. GSTs are predominantly expressed in the cytosol, where they are a homodimer or heterodimer of approximately 26 kDa sub-units, typically forming a hydrophobic 50 kDa protein. Different GST isoenzymes are seen to be expressed in different tissues. The inducibility of some GSTs following exposure of plants to biotic and abiotic stresses is a characteristic feature of these genes. GSTs appear to have many different functions in plants in primary and secondary metabolism, in stress tolerance and in cell signaling.
