A Comparison Between Age-related Differences of Attention Allocation and Selective Attention

摘要 为了考察注意能力的年龄差异 ,分别从注意分配能力和注意选择能力两个方面对青年和老年被试的表现进行了比较。结果表明 :青、老年在注意分配能力上没有显著的差异 ;而青、老年在注意选择能力上却有显著的差异 ,老年的注意选择能力有显著的衰退。因此 。 To explore the age-related difference of attention, this study compared the att e ntion abilities of younger adults with that of older adults in 2 aspects: attent ion allocation and selective attention. Data collected from 60 younger adults an d 50 older adults indicated that there was no significant age-related differenc e in attention allocation. Although the attention resource of older adults is not critical for the allocation task, their ability to control the resource decreas ed with aging. Significant age-related difference was found in selective attent i on between younger and older adults. Thus the influence of attention decline on recognit ion aging might come from the decline of selective attention, rather than fr om the decrease of attention resource.
