STAR VOLUME AND ITS USE IN THE ESTIMATION OF THE LOCAL ALVEOLAR SPACE SIZE

摘要 星体积是反映任意结构(尤其是不规则结构)的(平均)局部大小的体视学新参数,可据点取截距测量进行无偏估计。星体积已用于定量研究骨小梁、骨髓腔以及胎盘绒毛间隙的大小;星体积在评价肺泡空间的(局部)大小中也非常有用。 Star volume is a contemporary stereological parameter reflecting the (mean) local size of an arbitrary structure (especially an irregular structure), and can be unbiasedly estimated by measuring the point-sampled intercepts. Star volume has been utilized in the quantitative study of the size of trabeculae, marrow cavity and placental intervillous space. Current studies showed that it is also useful in the evaluation of the (local) size of alveolar space.
