As a standard modeling language for the field of software engineering,UML supplies identical model for the realization of software during development of software,which greatly improves the development speed of the software.The structure and element of UML are described by an example,and the UML modeling process is presented using the modeling tool Rational Rose.Furthermore,the safety management information system of Kailuan Group is developed using Visual Basic.
