Multi-Wavelength Fiber Laser Using M-Z Interferometer and Composite Cavity

摘要 报道了一种新颖的多波长掺铒光纤环形激光器,这种激光器是利用M-Z光纤型干涉仪作为梳状滤波器,并且与复合腔共同选频,在常温下获得了稳定的三波长输出,其间隔约为0.8nm,线宽约0.1nm。这种装置无需将增益介质放在液氮中,也不需要多个光栅选频或其他复杂而昂贵的器件,具有结构简单,易实现和成本低等优点。 A novel multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser is presented. Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) interferometer is used as comb filter and with an interlevel and composite cavity to selecte the wavelengths. The stable three-wavelength outputs with 0. 8-nm wavelength span and 0. 1-nm linewidth are obtained at room temperature. Without cooling the gain medium in liquid nitrogen or using gratings and complex, expensive devices, this fiber laser has the advantages of being simple and easily attainable at a low cost.
