摘要
根据视点的位置及地形的起伏特征,采用了一种基于四叉树的细节分层技术(LOD)来实现地形模型的简化,其中四叉树方法又包括常规四叉树和受限四叉树两种。这一技术的具体思想是使离视点近的地方采用详细的数据结构,离视点远的地方采用简单的数据结构,可以实现地形模型的简化,达到快速显示的目的。
According to position of viewpoint and the character of rolling terrain, this paper adopts LOD ethnic based on quadtree to realize terrain simplification, quadtree methods include general quadtree and limited quadtree. The detailed thought is that we adopt detailed data structures in place near to viewpoint and simple data structures in place far from viewpoint. According to this kind of technic, we can realize simplification of terrain model and purpose of rapid display.
