择偶既是个体和家庭的需要, 又是人类衍化的需要。在不同的社会历史环境中, 择偶的动因和需求不同, 而社会的政治背景和主流文化往往主导着择偶的方向。从一个相对封闭的彝族村寨的女性择偶变化过程, 可以看到社会经济发展的速度和文化变迁的特色。
The choice of the spouse is both the need of the individual and the family as well as the need of human reproduction. Its standards vary with different social and historical backgrounds, and the majority culture and political backgrounds often dominate its orientation. The changes of the Yi female's choice of the spouse at Zhijiu Village of Chuxiong in Yunnan Province can mirror its social and economic development as well as its cultural changes.
