摘要
北京市文物研究所藏《弢师手札》五册，各册封面皆有周肇祥题签“弢师手札”(图一)，民国前总统徐世昌有号日弢斋，故晚后若周肇祥等辈便每以“弢师”尊称之。由此可知，这五册手札当是徐世昌的书信集。或即由周肇祥收集装订成册，并一度收藏。周氏去世后，他收藏的部分书稿、拓片转交我所收藏。
Xu Shicang(1855-1939),native of Tianjin,a noted scholar during the reign of Emperor Guang Xu in the Qing Dynasty,served as an editor of the Hanlin Academy,In 1918,he became the grand president,known as 'Hanlin President' and 'Man of the Letter President', He was down as a president in 1922 when the Hebei and Shenyang war broke out.The article introduces letters written by Xi Shicang,which were originally in the hands of his student Zhou Zhaoxiang.These are the eighteen pieces written by Xu specially for the book 'Collection of Poems of the Qing Dynasty' .The hand-written pieces are now kept in the Relics Institute of Beijing.
