摘要
在第二语言学习过程中 ,成人英语学习者虽然记了大量的单词 ,但总感到英语表达能力欠佳。本文通过实验就成年人学习英语词语时所采取的英英认知和英汉认知方式进行了比较 ,揭示了两种认知方式所导致的英语书面表达能力的差异。最后 ,作者就如何提高学习者的英语表达能力提出了自己的观点和建议。
Some adult English majors have difficulty expressing themselves in English although they have memorized thousands of English words and phrases. By studying the different approaches to cognition of the vocabulary of the target language, the researcher has found that cognition of English words or phrases with English definitions is more effective than cognition of words with Chinese equivalents. Finally, the researcher has made some suggestions on how to cultivate this ability.
