摘要
采用热压的方法制备了碳纤维/氧化铝复合陶瓷,与未加碳纤维的氧化铝陶瓷相比,其抗弯强度有明显提高,但断裂韧性提高不大。为了改善碳纤维与氧化铝基体的结合状态,利用化学气相沉积的方法分别在碳纤维表面沉积了SiC,TiC和SiO_2+SiC。研究结果表明,当采用有沉积层的碳纤维补强氧化铝陶瓷时,抗弯强度和断裂韧性都有明显提高。
Carbon fiber reinforced alumina ceramics matrix composite was studied.To improve the adhesion state of carbon fiber with alumina matrix,the carbon fiber was coated with a free carbon layer and SiC,TiC or SiC+SiO_2 layer respectively by CVD method. The coated carbon fiber and uncoated carbon fiber reinforced alu-mina composites were fabricated by hot-pressing at 20MPa and 2023K. The mechanical properties of the composites have been determined and cornpared to those of conventionally processed alumina ceramics. The results indicate that the bending strength and the fracture toughness of the composites were increased,not only reinforced by carbide coated carbon fiber but also by uncoated carbon fiber,but the formers were much larger than later.The reason for fiber compensation was discussed in this paper.
