摘要
探讨了多媒体数据存储管理实现技术，给出了实际采用的基于关系模型扩充的“层双关系”数据模型和实现常规数据与多媒体数据一体比存储管理的一种方法。
The storage management of multimedia data is one of the key techniques for multimediaDBMS implementation.the techniques for data storage management are discussed.Anewmodel,the hierarchy-relational data model,has been developed to realize the integratedmanagement of ordinary and multimedia data,The techniques including the organization ofdata dictionary and data instances ,the identification of tuples,the mechanism of Bn-tree in-dexes,the management of system buffers and user' s workspace discussed have been satisfac-torily operated in two database management systems,MDBMS and DM1 designed by the au-thors.
