摘要
正确的语言并不仅仅意味着根据语法规则遣词造句 ,还意味着随语言环境需要而选择适当的语体。与语言环境相协调的语言是在这一环境里具有交际功能的最有效的语言。对英语的语域、语体的概念作了进一步阐述 ,明确了语域与语体的区别 。
The competence to construct and recognize grammatical sentences is not quite the competence to use language appropriately. Proper words in proper places make the true definition of a style. Appropriate use of language in the relevant situation defines its accurate employment. This paper will focus on the further discussions about advancing of register and style of English language, differences between them, and the importance of appropriate use of style of English language in three ways of affecting it.
