咒骂语指的是用于表达说话者情感的粗鲁的词语或表达方式,其研究往往为人们所忽视.本文旨在考察咒骂语的语义和语用特征.研究发现,咒骂语与方位隐喻关系密切.这类词语体现评价意义且具有低价值的庄重性或负丰满性.此外,咒骂语体现了语言的顺应性.
Expletives, whose investigation is often neglected, refer to rude words or expressions that the speakers use to convey their emotion. This paper is intended for the examination of the semantic and pragmatic features of expletives. It is revealed that expletives are closely linked to orientational metaphor. Moreover they are the embodiment of evaluation and enjoy the characteristics of low solemnity and negative fullness. Expletives may also demonstrate linguistic adaptability.
