近代中国的不平等条约是西方列强强加给中国的,它严重地损害了中国的权益。曾纪泽提出了一系列修约废约和取消列强在华侵略特权的主张,并在外交实践中为维护国家主权和民族尊严进行了英勇的斗争,有力地冲击了近代中国的不平等条约,在中国近代外交史上产生了积极的影响。
The treaty system in modern China is a humiliating diplomatic system that the aggressors forced on China. It damaged the Chinese sovereignty. Zeng Jize gave a series of propositions about amending treaties, abrogating treaties and abloshing the privilege of the aggressors. Zeng waged a heroic struggle in diplomatic practice on protecting national sovereignty and dignity, which pounded the treaty system in modern China heavily. It exerted a positive influence on the Chinese history of modern diplomacy.
