摘要
衔接与连贯是语篇研究中的两个基本概念,也是话语分析的重大课题。本文从理论与应用两个方面综述了语言学界对衔接与连贯的研究,其主要内容包括衔接与连贯理论产生的历史背景、术语来源,语言学家在衔接与连贯的定义、范围、标准及其关系等问题上所持的不同观点和这一研究领域中有待解决的问题。
Cohesion and coherence are two important terms in the study of text, and the major topic of utterance analysis.This paper probes into cohesion and coherence from theory and application.At first.this paper introdces their historical background,origin of terms,and then attempts a systematic discussion of different views concerning definition,extent,criterion and relationship between cohesion and coherence.Finally the paper points out that there are some problems to resolve.
