摘要
语言是语言的创造和使用者在思想、态度和文化观念上的反映,与人们的社会态度密切相关。本文试从社会心理语言学的角度考察语言中女性词语的贬降现象,剖析贬降词语产生的原因及其带来的后果,对如何消除女性词语的贬降现象提出自己的看法。
Language reflects the thoughts, attitudes and culture of people who make it and use it. It is closely related to people' social attitudes. This paper explores pejoration of women in English from social-psycholinguistic perspective, examines the causes and effects of pejoration, and proposes some suggestions as to how to do away with pejoration of women in English.
