摘要
目前国内一些文章在介绍美国高等教育时,在博士学位与硕士学位的授予比例、拥有博士学位授予权的学校数量、高校规模、生师比、非专业教师比重、资金来源、私立高校的作用、校企合作、科技成果转化、校办企业等问题上的认识都有值得商榷的地方。本文根据美国国家教育统计中心的数据和相关文献,对这些问题进行了讨论和澄清。
There are some understanding deviations for higher education in U.S. currently, such as the ratio between doctor’s/first professional degree and master’s degree, number of institutions awarding doctor’s degrees, scale of higher education intuitions (HEIs), ratio between students and faculty, proportion of non-faculty, role of private HEIs, cooperation between HEIs and firms, research results spreading, and enterprises invested by HEIs. Based on the data from the National Center for Education Statistics of U.S. and related references, the article gives the discussions and clarification on the above misunderstandings.
