摘要
在家兔高胆固醇血症模型中,观察升主动脉和主肺动脉粥样硬化病变及L,精氨酸抗粥样埂化作用。结果:(1)高胆固醇血症不仅诱发主动脉也诱发主肺动脉粥样硬化改变,其严重性二者相仿;(2)口服L-精氨酸使血浆游离精氨酸水平升高一倍而不影响血清胆固醇;(3)口服L-精氨酸有显著抗动脉粥样硬化作用,机理可能与其在代谢过程中使血管壁合成释放血管舒张因子(EDRF)、抑制某些促动脉粥样硬化发生因素有关。
The purpose of this study i s to
determine the distribution of atherosclerosis in the pulmonary
andsystemic ciculation and to determine if atherogenesis in these
circulations couldbe inhibited by chronicadministration of
L-arginine,the precursor of NO-endothelium-derived relaxing
factor(EDRF)in hyper-cholesterolcmic rabbits.Male New Zealand white
rabbits(n= 15)were assigned to one of three treat- ment groups : 5
received 1% cholesterol diet supplemented with 2. 25%L-arginine HCL
in the drinkingwater;5 received chow enriched with 1%cholesterol
only;5 were fed with normal rabbit chow.After10 weeks the blood
samples were collected for biochemical studies,and the thoracic aorta
and mainpulmonary artery were harvested for histomorphometric
studies.The results showed that(1)Cholesterol-diet caused obvious
atherosclerosis in main pulmonary artery as well as in thoracic
aorta,and the histo- morphometry are quite similar;2)Arginine
supplementation doubled plasma arginine levels without affecting
serum cholesterol levels;(3)Supplementation of dietary L-arginine
inhibited atherogenesis signi-ficantly in both pulmonary artery and
thoracic aorta. In conclusion,our data strongly suggest that supple
-mentation of dietary L-arginine has antiatherogenic effects in
hypercholesterolemic rabbit.
