摘要
针对两种太比特路由器交换网络拓扑结构,设计了故障模型并提出两种实现容错功能的方案,使得交换网络具备容错能力,即在出现部件故障的情况下,其余正常部分仍能继续工作,保证骨干网的可靠性.该方案采用OPNET软件对交换网络在不同故障分布下的时延以及吞吐性能进行仿真.结果表明,当出现故障后,采用该容错方案可以避免零吞吐现象发生,吞吐下降到无故障时的50%~60%(1%结点发生故障的情况).同样故障分布下,带环网格的时延吞吐性能优于网格结构.
A fault model is defined for two switching fabrics of the terabit routers. Two different strategies to provide fault tolerance in the switching fabric of the terabit routers are proposed,making the switching fabric fault tolerant and providing reliability to the backbone networks. Simulations of the performance of the switching fabrics under different configurations are carried out by the OPNET software,with some useful conclusions obtained. The results show that the zero-throughput can be avoided by using the proposed strategies. However, the throughput drops to 50%~60% of that of the fault free networks (when 1% nodes are faulty). Under the same fault patterns, the performance of the torus is better than that of the mesh.
