摘要
提出了一种用平头立铣刀代替球面刀数控加工凸曲面的刀位轨迹自动生成新方法。利用该方法在计算机上成功地实现了刀位轨迹的自动生成。
In engineering practice,some parts mainly consist of convexly sculptured surfaces. Geo-metric errors frequently occur if these parts are machined with ball end-cutter on a 3-axisNC macmne tool.To remedy such a situation,a flat end-cutter is used instead to automati-cally generate the tool path during machining with a method called the point and interpola-tion method.Either rough machining or finish machining can be carried out on a 5-axis and3-axis machine tool with the method proposed.An example of successful realization of auto-matic tool path generation on a computer is given.
