摘要
本文对一种新的非金属矿产资源——硅土矿的地质、矿物特征和理化性质以及它在工业领域中的利用作了简要叙述，并从矿物成分、粒度、结构构造和化学成分以及成因等方面与粉石英矿作了对比，认为硅土与粉石英是两个不同的工业矿物原料，硅土是矿物集合体。
