摘要
研究人性论必须区分两个层次:其一是人性的内涵和外延,其二是理想的、先验的人性和现实的、经验的人性,这是澄清人性论之争的关键。颜元《存性编》人性论的主旨是为了倡导尧、舜三事、六府之道,周、孔三物:六德、六行、六艺之学,并批判程朱的气质性恶论。实际上颜元的人性论和程朱的人性论在旨趣上是一致的,其差异就在于混淆了先验与经验的区别。从理想、应该的角度而言,人总是要向善,且要抑恶扬善;但从现实、事实的角度而言,人总是会作恶,而且极易作恶。所以人性要修养,要约束,要建设,不能放任自流。
The motif of Yan Yuan's Practicing the Innate is to support the learning methodology advocated by Confucian and thus to criticize the evil nature theory by Zhu Xi and the Cheng brothers.But in fact,concerning the humanity theory their intention is more or less the same,the difference lies in that they focused on either the transcendentalist side or the experienced side respectively.In reality man always attempts virtue and restrains evil in his mind,but meanwhile he always does evil things unconsciously and easily.Therefore,man should cultivate,restrain and develop himself instead of letting himself alone.
