New Type of Electrode Design for the Electric Spark Machining of the Bevel Gear Die Cavity

摘要 现行电火花加工直伞齿轮模具型腔的电极设计不合理,特别是生产中用同一电极作为粗打电极、中修电极和精修电极,致使模具齿形加工精度和加工效率低.提出直伞齿轮电极粗打、中修电极和精修电极的正确设计方法和计算公式,使模具齿形的电火花加工精度和加工效率显著提高.该方法不仅适用于锻模,也适用于塑料模和压铸模等其它型腔模打模电极齿形设计. Present design of electrode for the electric spark machining of the die cavity for the form of spur bevel gear is incorrect. This is particularly true in production when the same electrode is used in rough finish, preparatory cut and final working, so that the efficiency and the precision of machining tooth form of the die are low. The treatise presents the correct design procedure and the calculation formulas of tooth form of rough finish electrode, preparatory cut electrode and final working electrode of spur bevel gear. The efficiency and the precision for electric spark machining tooth form of the die are remarkably improved by the procedure. This basic method are suitable not only for forging die, but also for design of tooth form of electrode machining of other molding die, such as plastic die, die for die casting mold etc.
