摘要
廖平经学的最大贡献是经学一变时期以礼制“平分今古”文经学,认为经学的今古之争的根本在于所说礼制的不同。他认为孔子删定《六经》,以《春秋》为首,是对四代礼制的“改制”,是为后世立法的新的典章制度,而这些“新制”又主要存于孔子手定的《王制》一书。廖平治《春秋》的主旨,就在于参以《王制》,发掘《春秋》所包含的孔子“新制”。
Liao Ping thought that the underlying difference between the study of Confucian classics written in Western Han Dynasty and the study of Confucian classics written in the Pre - Qin period was that they were based on different regimes. He thought that Spring and Autumn Annals was cardinal in Liu Jing, and was the transformation of old regimes, and was the new regime for posterity. These new regimes was contained in a book entitled Wangzhi. Gu Liang Zhuan is the orthodox school of thought in the study of Confucian Classics written in Western Han Dynasty, the regime of which was the same as that in Wang Zhi. Liao Ping' s Research on The Spring and Autumn Annals was to unearth these new regimes from the Spring and Autumn Annals.
