摘要
为了在面向工程计算的网格应用环境中提高调度性能和更好地满足用户的需求,提出了一种以用户为中心的调度策略。在该策略中,建立了信用度、担保度和综合效用率3个性能指标,其中,综合效用率表示综合服务质量,由4个性能参数组成,每个参数都有各自的权重;针对不同的网格用户类型,分别设计了自动调度、手动调度及其相应的可视操控接口;所有性能指标的可视化,使用户和服务质量驱动下的调度机制能更好地交互;对于已调度任务不能取得期望服务质量的情况,采用了后调度机制进行处理。在网格试验平台Vgrid上进行了测试,结果表明,可视化调度机制适合面向科学和工程计算的网格应用。
To improve scheduling performance and better meet user's requirements in grid applications oriented to engineering computation, a user-centered scheduling strategy was proposed. Within this strategy, three performance metrics were modeled, i. e. Degree of Credit (DC), Degree of Guarantee (DG) and Aggregate Utility Ratio (AUR)… Among these metrics, AUR, as a composite Quality-of-Service (QoS), was composed of four performance factors with their individual weights. To deal with different types of grid users, automatic scheduling, manual scheduling a.nd associated steering-enabled visual interfaces were designed respectively. Based on an overall scheduling framework, the.visualization of all performance metrics has facilitated user's interaction with QoS-driven scheduling mechanism. For those scheduled tasks which could not obtain expected QoS, a specific post-scheduling mechanism was applied to cope with all'exceptions. Some tests were performed on a grid test bed of Vgrid. These experiments indicated that the visual scheduling was suitable for scientific and engineering oriented grid computing in practice.
