Objective To observe the efficacy of 415nm blue light of LED in the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Methods Total 105 subjects with mild to moderate acne were treated with 415nm blue light twice one week. The number of papules and pustules(inflammatory lesion)were recorded before treatment and 1,4 and 8 weeks after the final treatment, and then assessment and conclusion were made,Results The use of 415nm blue light gives immediate reduction in inflamed acne lesions markedly, then continues to show a consistent improvement over the assessment period. Conclusion 415nm blue light of LED is an effective way to treat mild to moderate acne.
