In recent years, the relationship between Confucianism and the Daoist school had become a main topic in the academic circle of Chinese philosophy. This paper holds that, though the Yi-ology is a special school in traditional Chinese culture, yet, as Zhouyi became one of the Confucian Classics, especially after Yi Zhuan emerged, the Yi-ology partly turned out to be a carrier for the interflow of Confucianism and the Daoist school, embodying both the generality and the complementarity between them. Based on this, the paper explicates the same origin of Confucius', Lao zi's, and Yi's thought, specific generality between Confucius and Lao zi' thoughts, as well as their joint pursuit in ultimate sense and their connection with the Yi-ology. In addition, the paper simply summarizes the mutual complementariness between them revealed in the Yi-ology to seek the primitive and original internal basis for the interflow of Confucianism and the Daoist school. However, though this paper stresses the generality between Confucianism and the Daoist school and their relationship with the Yi-ology, it does not deny the variety of manifestations of the interflow in other documents.
