摘要
地球系统科学用现代系统思维方式和科学系统观,研究地球表层现象、过程及其变化的系统规律。在"系统论"科学观指导下的理论创新,将大大提升地球表层系统的研究水平。建立在综合研究和系统集成基础上的方法论创新奠定了地球系统科学的前沿地位。现代技术手段对理论和技术创新的支持使理论综合和方法集成成为现实。
Earth system science (ESS) studies the systematic rule of the phenomenon, procession and changes on the earth. Theoretic innovation of ESS will advance the research level of the earth facial system in the guidance of systematic idea. Its innovation of methodology would lay the forward foundation based on the methodology founded on the integrated research and systematic synthesizing. The modem technology makes it true of theoretic and method innovation. Its basic position lay in the architectonics targeting the relationship of human - earth. Included fair theory of earth system; the principle of concerting between the integrity and decomposing; layering theory; self- resemble theory; self- organized theory; opening theory etc. its research procedure e^es the scientific privilege of the methodology. That is unifying of revert idea and integrate theory; unifying of qualitative and quantitative description; unifying of partial and whole generalization; unifying of certainty and uncertainty expression; unifying of analyzed and synthesized family, modem technology, especially the space and digital technology, will ultimately uphold the theoretic and method development.
