摘要
供应商管理库存(VMI)已成为供应链库存管理的重要研究方向,通过供应商直接管理其客户的库存,降低了双方的成本,取得了良好的效果.目前VMI系统主要应用于供应商与分销商之间,本文将VMI系统实施于零售业,并针对实施中存在的问题建立了一种新的发展模式—供应商品类管理.在新的模式中,供应商不仅负责零售商的库存管理,还将拥有商品品类优化和货架管理的权力.
Vendor managed inventory （VMI） has become an important research trend to manage the inventory in the supply chain. The Supplier manages his customer＇ s inventory directly, and this reduces the cost and has a good result. At present, VMI is mainly applied between suppliers and distributors. In this paper VMI is implemented in retailing industry and the vendor category management, a new development mode, is proposed to tackle the problems occurred in the implementation. In the new mode, the supplier takes charge of not only the retailer＇s inventory manage- ment, but also the product＇ s category optimization and shelf management.
