英语词汇记忆策略与词汇知识之间的相关性 被引量:11

摘要 英语词汇记忆策略有效性的研究自20世纪70年代以来,随着认知心理学和第二语言词汇习得研究的不 断深入,日益受到关注,研究者对其理论与实证的研究逐渐增多。然而由于受到语言、任务及被试对象特点的局 限,研究结果常不一致,且多为描述性研究,缺乏对其研究结果从以上三方面较全面的分析。本文首先依据认知心 理学中的“加工水平说”及语言学中有关词汇知识定义与分类的相关理论,通过使用社会软件包SPSS10.0分析了 英语词汇记忆策略与词汇知识之间的相关性,统计结果表明,与语义相关的多数深加工记忆策略与词汇知识之间 存在着很大的相关性,而除诵读法之外的多数机械重复记忆策略与词汇知识之间不存在任何正相关关系;同时联 想法等深加工记忆策略,并非有效的词汇记忆策略。文章最后特别针对统计结果中与前人研究结果不一致之处, 从语言、任务及学生特点的不同角度给予了进一步解释与分析。 With the development of cognitive psychology and the research on second language vocabulary acquisition, the research into the effectiveness of vocabulary memory strategies has received increasing attention since the 1970's. The relevant theories and empirical researches have been blossoming. Due to the factors such as language, task and subject, the results didn't agree with one another, and moreover, most researchers didn't either give the further explanations about these disagreements. Based on the relevant theories from both cognitive psychology and linguistics: the depth-of-processing hypothesis and definition and types of vocabulary knowledge, correlation analyses are conducted to explore the correlations between vocabulary memory strategies and vocabulary knowledge. The statistical results showed that most meaning-oriented and deep-processing memory strategies correlate significantly with vocabulary knowledge, while the majority of rote-learning strategies except fororal repetition, association strategies and total physical response strategy haven't any positive correlations with vocabulary knowledge. And furthermore, considering the language, task and subject, the author explores the causes of the disagreements between this study results and others'.
