摘要 在高等教育大众化时代,大学教师队伍规模庞大,其专业素质的高低直接关系到高等教育质量的提升。大学教师发展已经不满足于单纯的物质需求或者短时性的在岗培养,而有必要建立一种不同于精英教育时代的专业发展观,从社会到学校应对大学教师这种特殊的社会职业予以足够的关心和重视。大学教师专业发展是高校教师从事教学、研究及服务工作时,经过独立自主、相互协作的活动,引导自我反省与理解,最终提高教学、研究及服务等专业技能。 In the age of mass higher education, the quality of higher education relies on the faculty's professional accomplishment which scale is becoming larger. The material requirement and in-service training are not enough for the faculty's professional development. We should have the conception of faculty's professional development in mind which is differem from the one in the age of elite education. The special vocation must be taken into account from society to universities. The faculty's professional development involves many things such as teaching, research and social service. Its aim is to help faculty to promote their professional abilities through independent activities and cooperations. Teachers should also learn the importance of self-reflection and comprehension in the process.
