摘要
以往的激光器是由束缚电子的能级跃迁而产生相干辐射的。近几年发展起来的自由电子激光器,由电子的动能直接转化为相干辐射,是产生相干辐射的新技术,新途径。具有高效率,可调谐及可能获得大功率相干辐射等一系列优点。本文综述近年来这一领域中实验和理论的进展。
The generation of the coherent radiation in a conventional laser results from the transitions between the quantum states of the electrons, which are attached to the atoms, A free-electron laser, which has been developed with a new method and technique, in the Iast year directly converts the dynamic energy of the relativistic electrons to coherent adiation.It has the advantages of high effciettcy,wide tunability and high power. This article eviewes the recent advances in the theories and experiments in the field of the free-electron laser.
