摘要
受后现代主义的广泛影响,过去30年左右,西方文化研究发生了深刻的变化。大致形成了以下几大领域:后殖民研究(postco lon ia lism),性别/女性研究(gender study/fem in ism),弱势阶层研究(suba ltern stud ies)等。在我国,这些领域中女性研究取得了一定的成果,其它方面还很薄弱。随着2004年《中国农民调查》的出版,我们相信,以关注社会权力不均衡及因此造成不平等后果为己任的文化研究之其它方面也可望蓬勃发展起来。本文拟对上述主要流派进行简要介绍。
Illumined by postmodernism, fundamental changes have taken place in the field of cultural studies during the last three decades. Contemporary cultural studies in general fails into the following schools： postcolonialism, gender study/feminism, and subaltern studies. In China, significant research has been conducted in feminism, but the rest domains are still quite ‘new＇. With the publieation of Investigation into Chinese Peasantry, we believe more and more attention shall be paid to the social-power-oriented research of cultural studies. The present essay attempts to provide a brief glance at contemporary Western cultural studies.
