Based on his own experience to take part in the fifth Chinese Antarctic expedition, this author first discussed a strategical significance of Chinese Gre- at Wall Station, Fildes Peninsula, King George Island, Antarctica according to influence of geographical environment, especially climate to aviation and navigation. Then, he discussed the geological base, metallic mine, volcanic activities, geomorphological phenomena, as well as the history of the glacial erosiop in the region, and point out that the region is an excellent place to study paleoclimate, paleoenvironment, continent drift as well as glacial and periglacial geomorphology. At last, the author indicated it is a main reason that the complete species, numerous animal and plant with Antarctic characte-ristics, as well as the animal's peculiar foodchain each other in the region made it to become an important biological resourceful area and a special scientific interesting place protected by Antarctica Treaty.
