摘要
文章从分析英汉句式结构的差异入手,论述在英汉翻译中调整句子长度的必要性,并结合实例,对翻译中调整句子长度的两种方法———分句法、合句法进行探讨。
By analyzing the difference in syntax between English and Chinese, the paper expounds the necessity of adjusting sentence length in E--C translation,and probes into two translation skills-separation and combination-commonly used for adjusting sentence length in translation.
