摘要
在政府决策领域，大量决策依据来源于对区域自然环境、社会经济状况的空间特征与分布的研究和分析．在此领域里，地理信息系统技术展示了其特有的优势．在介绍了兰州市土地利用总体规划决策支持系统的结构、功能的基础上，探讨了该系统的应用前景，论述了地理信息系统对于建立政府部门决策支持系统的重要性。
In the field of government decisions, a large quantity of decision bases are got from the study of the spatial features and distributions of physical environment, and from the social economic situation of a region. In this field, the Geographic Information System (GIS) shows its own advantage. Introducing the structure and functions of `Landuse General Planning Decision Support System of Lanzhou City', this article shows the applicable prospect of this system, and the importance of GIS to the setting up of Decision Support System (DSS) for government branches. A more exact DSS can be established by using GIS technology.
