Once you have worked out where sand has collected, you have to get it out.As is known in the fuel industry - and is mentioned in the pages of this issue of Oil et Gas Technology - sand is a common issue for producers, Sand and other soliddeposits often appear with the valuable hydrocarbon resources that the world needs to keep going around. Sand or solids, once entering the production train, will cause erosion of flow lines, manifolds, pipework, choke valves, control valves, vessel internals and will collect in areas of low flow stream velocity.
