摘要
本文从语言与文化的密切关系入手,依次分析了文化专有词的信息特点、形成原因和基本的翻译方法。文化专有词所传达的文化信息特点可以从五个方面加以认知和分析。而文化专有词的形成原因应结合民族民俗习惯、民族信仰和地理环境来分析,可以概括为社会历史环境不同、地理环境差异和语言文化本身的差别这三大类。对文化专有词的翻译,本文只涉及了基础的直译、意译、音译这三种,以形成对文化专有词翻译理论认识的总体框架,便于更深入的学习和探讨。
This paper discusses three kinds of common translation methods which deal with the translation of culturespecific words that are caused by the asymmetry between two cultures. The culture-specific words can mainly be divided into five sorts according to the way they convey their culture-specific meaning. As for the formation of the culture-specific words, it falls chiefly into three groups： different social and historical background, different geographic features and difference in the languages and cultures. Then the paper discusses three basic translation methods： literal translation, free translation, transliteration, in the hope that it would benefit the future study in a more systematic way.
