摘要
EPON是目前实现FTTH的主流技术。本文通过对EPON标准及相关技术的介绍,探讨了如何结合EPON技术规划和改造HFC网络,以满足各类增值业务对HFC网络带宽和交互性的发展需求。
The Ethernet Passive Optical Neiwork (EPON) has become a research hotspot in broadband access technology field due to its much higher bandwidth than that of existing access technologies and ability to deliver a reliable video, data and voice to end user. An introduction is made of EPON standard and relevant technology and a discussion is held about how to combine the EPON technology plan with transformation of HFC network to meet requirements of various value-added services for HFC network bandwidth and interaction.
