摘要
20世纪二三十年代是中国近代以来科学发展的一个重要时期,也是近代科学发展最快的时期。这一时期的中国第一次形成了颇具规模的科学家群体。本文对该时期科学家群体的一些基本问题———年龄结构、学科分布、区域分布以及留学经历、精神特质等———进行了分析,并揭示它在多个层面上的现代意义。
The first three decades of 20th Century is an important developing and fastest growing period of modem science. It is the first time that temporal China forms a comparativdy full-scale group of scientists. We would systematically discuss some basic issues about these scientists, including age structure, disciplines distribution, regional distribution and overseas experience, social status, ethos, trying to reveal their modem senses at multi-layers.
