一种有效的指纹识别算法及应用

摘要 提出了一种指纹细节点提取方法,该方法在得到指纹二值化图像后,分别对脊线和谷线进行细化,从脊线细化图和谷线细化图中提取分支点作为指纹的特征点。把这种方法应用到考生身份指纹验证系统,对该系统的工作原理、组成结构、硬件设计和软件实现进行了详细介绍。 A new method for extracting fingerprint minutiaes is proposed.After acquiring binary image,we thin the ridges and valleys respectively,and extract ridge bifurcation and valley bifurcations as the key minutiaes from the ridge thinned image and valley thinned image.The method is applied in fingerprint verification system about examinee,whose principle and basic structure,software and hardware design are discussed in detail.
