The meaning of developing a green packaging material zein film, and its'functional properties needed are described. The zein film has Auch functions as good oxygen and oil barrier performance, keeping fragrance, protection from moisture and ultraviolet,but can't be used effectively due to its insufficient mechanical strength. Nevertheless, a modified zein film developed by us has sufficient mechanical strength besides keeping the above functions, thus having significant meaning.
