Theory and institutional selection for on-line teaching

摘要 本文集中探讨在线教学相关的理论基础和制度规划问题,首先对影响在线教学的几种主要教学理论基础作出说明,然后从六个方面分析在线教学制度的规划问题。 Knowledge of human beings has accumulated rapidly after Industry Revolution, so the concept of life-long learning appeals for new educational mode. The appearance of world wide web and its application has catalyzed 'web-based teaching', a new educational mode.This paper first defines web-based teaching in accordance with the multiplicity of universities' implementation of web-based teaching and addresses its principal targets for study: 'on-line teaching' in web-based teaching. The article introduces four theoretical basis of on-line teaching: the theory of behaviorism, cognitive psychology, theory of social learning and theory of constructivism. It has approached the format and regulation of on-line teaching, made analysis and explanation of the basic activities of on-line teaching. Then it further introduces the frequently used teaching methods when implementing synchronous and asynchronous teaching on the part of university teachers of each country. On the basis of that the author narrates the flow path and regulations of on-line teaching and the design law for directing technology. At the end of his paper, the author lists the designing laws for tutors to conduct learning support in on-line teaching. The author hopes that this paper may assist teachers to design on-line teaching activities in the web-based learning environment and help students to learn in a more convenient, more flexible and effective way.
