摘要
设计了一种内部集成控制电路和DMOS功率开关管的单片集成电流型PWM升压变换器。该芯片的开关频率为1.6MHz,采用1.5μmBCD工艺实现,具有很宽的输入电压范围(2.7~14V)、高转换效率(负载电流1~500mA)。给出了芯片设计方法、思路及主要单元电路模块,如振荡器、输入比较、PWM比较及过温保护电路,的设计方案,总结了该芯片设计中应注意的次谐波振荡和开关噪声问题。仿真及实验测试结果充分验证了芯片的各项性能。
A monolithic current-mode DC-DC boost converter with integrated DMOS FET power switch and control circuit was presented. The chip operating at a fixed frequency of 1.6 MHz, which was designed for wide input voltage range (from 2.7 V to 14 V) and high efficiency over large load range (1 mA to 500 mA), was fabricated with a 1.5/μm BCD process. Design methodsand schematics of major circuit blocks such as oscillator, input comparator, PWM comparator and over-temperature protection circuits were discussed. Precautions to deal with subharmonic oscillation and switching noise problem in monolithic switching power IC was proposed. Experimental results validated good functionality of the chip.
