摘要
介绍了无线城域网空中接口规范IEEE 802.16标准和W iMAX联盟的发展过程和现状,分析了无线城域网标准体系结构,包括媒体访问控制(MAC)层和物理层(PHY)中的主要技术特点,重点介绍了IEEE 802.16中MAC层的QoS保证机制,对4种不同类型数据业务的支持,服务流的分类、管理、无线资源调度算法等及未来研究的重点,最后总结了目前无线城域网产业的动态,与3G技术的关系以及需要进一步解决的问题。
In this paper the developing process and current situation of Wireless MAN standard IEEE 802.16 of broadband wireless access and WiMAX is introduced. Emphasis goes to the architecture, including main technologies of Media Access Control layer, physical layer and QoS guarantee mechanism in MAC layer; the service flow management, packet scheduling algorithm and emphasis of further research are introduced, The development of Wireless MAN industry and comparison with 3G technology is summarized in the end.
